WBC to host holiday shopping event

The Women’s Business Center is set to give holiday shoppers the opportunity to gather unique treasures, enjoy a little pre-holiday celebration and support the efforts of New Hampshire’s women business owners.

Hosting its first Entrepreneurial Holiday Fair from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec.7, the WBC will transform the second floor of the Bank of America building at 848 Islington St. in Portsmouth into a holiday shopping stop, featuring local goods created by women business owners from the Granite State. Handcrafted gifts, from glass accents to jewelry, healthy dog snacks to baked goods and smokeless candles to edible fruit arrangements, will be among the shopping selection.

“We’re really looking forward to this wonderful event,” said WBC Executive Director Ellen Fineberg. “This is an opportunity for us to share with the public just how many women-business owners we have here in the state. It’s also a great chance for visitors to network with others in the business community.”

Since 1995, the WBC offers “support and guidance to women of all ages and backgrounds, in every aspect and at every stage of business development,” Fineberg said.
