Vectron purchases Maine firm

Vectron International, a Hudson-based maker of frequency control and sensor systems announced Thursday that it has completed its acquisition of Westbrook, Maine-based Biode, a maker of fluid viscosity sensors and viscometer readers.

According to a statement released by Vectron officials, Biode’s engineers and inventors will become the core of a proposed “research and development center for continued technology advancement,” which will be located in Maine, charged with developing additional sensors. – NHBR DAILY
