TD Banknorth closes up in 4Q
TD Banknorth more than doubled its quarter-on-quarter net income in the fourth quarter that ended December 31, 2005.
The company announced that fourth-quarter 2005 earnings were $55.6 million over $20.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2004.
On a per-diluted-share basis, net income was 32 cents for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, 2005, as compared to 12 cents for the same quarter a year ago.
All told, earnings for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2005, were $108.1 million, as compared to $106 million for the fourth quarter of 2004. On a per diluted share basis, earnings for the fourth quarter of 2005 were 62 cents, up 5 percent from 59 cents for the same quarter a year ago. — NHBR STAFF
