Sturm Ruger reports earnings rise
Sturm Ruger & Company has reported that third-quarter net sales were $41.6 million and net income was $1 million, or 4 cents a share, up from the same period last year.
In 2005, net sales for the third quarter were $35.1 million with a net loss of $1 million, or 4 cents a share.
For the nine months ended Sept. 30, 2006, net sales were $124.3 million and net income was $3.8 million, or $14 cents per share. For the corresponding period in 2005, net sales were $113.7 million and net income was $2.7 million, or 10 cents per share.
