‘Resource-’ ful forums
The Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire has scheduled two forums next week, one related to conserving energy for residential consumers, and the other on conserving the state’s energy.
On Tuesday, July 25, WasteCap will present a panel on how to save money (and the environment) by using a variety renewable forms of energy: bioefuels, biomass, wind, geothermal, solar. Various forms of financing for such energy projects will be discussed. The form will be at the Highlander Inn, in Manchester, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The $60 fee covers continental breakfast lunch and various handouts.
Two days later, on July 27, the BIA Energy and Environmental Affairs committees will be holding a lunch meeting featuring Jonnie Burton, director of mineral resources for the U.S. Department of the Interior. Burton will discuss the concerns of New Hampshire businesses relative to natural resources, energy needs and costs, and the environment. The talk and free lunch is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the BIA offices on 122 North Main St., in Concord.
