Polyclad job fair set in Franklin
A job fair attempting to match employers and employees of the former Polyclad Laminates in Franklin is scheduled to be held May 25 at the plant.
Over 180 workers will be displaced by the closing of the firm, which was acquired last year by Isola, which last earlier this month announced the closing of the facility.
The job fair is being arranged by the New Hampshire Business Resource Center. It will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Isola site, 40 Industrial Park Drive in Franklin.
According to the center, the skills demonstrated by the workers is varied, ranging from production and administrative and clerical functions to supervisory and engineering.( A listing of the jobs held by the Isola workers is available upon request.)
Participation in the fair is free of charge to any interested company – free lunch will be provided to all company representatives in attendance. Set-up time begins at 9 a.m.
Businesses interested in taking part in the fair may bring display materials, tabletop booths and applications – tables and chairs will be provided to all exhibitors. Employees will be prepared to fill out job applications on site.
