Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon has been ranked as one of the nation’s top 50 hospitals for cancer care by US News & World Report in its 2006 “Americas Best Hospitals” issue.
Placing 43rd on the list, the ranking represents the fifth consecutive time the facility has been named to the list. It is the only cancer care clinic in northern New England to be named to the list.
US News reviewed more than 5,000 hospitals across the country for criteria such as mortality rates, level of technology, nursing and patient services and hospital reputation among other physicians to rank the top 50 hospitals in 16 specialties. — CINDY KIBBE
