Donating blood at the Gail Singer Memorial Blood Drive in downtown Manchester on Aug. 30 is Stephen Singer, president of Merchants Automotive Group and coordinator of the event. With 1,959 pints collected, the 28th annual blood drive set a record for the largest one-day community blood drive in the nation.
