New chairman named at Ruger

James E. Service, a retired Navy vice admiral, has been named chairman of board of Sturm, Ruger & Company.

Service, a member of the board since 1992, succeeds William Ruger Jr., who stepped down earlier this month as chief executive officer and chairman of the firm. – JEFF FEINGOLD
