Keene drywall firm sued over pension plans

Fine Line Drywall of Keene failed to invest nearly $30,000 of its workers’ pension plan contributions withheld from their paychecks, according to a suit filed last week by the federal Department of Labor.

The funds were supposed to be placed into a Simple IRA plan, the government says in its suit, but instead they were used by Mark R. Blanchard of Swanzey, who controlled the fund, for the company instead.

Fine Line Drywall ceased operations in March 2005. Blanchard declined to comment on the matter. – BOB SANDERS
