Instant Technology wins third Lotus Award

Instant Technologies has been awarded the 2007 IBM Lotus Award in the Best Tool/Utility Solution category for the development of the Instant Queue Manager – software designed to pass customer queries on to the next available agent.

It’s the third such award for the Durham-based software development company and the second in this category.

“We are very proud to have been recognized by IBM with this prestigious award,” said Payton McManus, president of Instant Technologies. “Receiving this award for the third time demonstrates our continued excellence in the use of Lotus technologies.”

Instant Technologies officials said the Instant Queue Manager acts like “telephone desk help within the instant messaging environment of IBM Lotus Sametime.” Besides passing queries on to the next available person, Queue Manager works with IBM technology to store chat conversations or move them to the appropriate resource system enabling the company employing the technology to better serve their customers.
