‘I stand by my article’

To the editor

Two points:

One, the momentum for equal marriage continues to grow in New England.

Two, the only region in which the Republican Party has any strength is the old Confederacy.

I stand by my article on Lincoln (“There’s another way to look at Lincoln,” March 13-26 NHBR) and my criticism of his chosen war.
