Nine people have been named to a search team looking to hire the next director of Manchester Economic Development Office.
Named to the team by Mayor Frank C. Guinta were: Sean Thomas and Virginia Lamberton of the mayor’ staff and Skip Ashooh of Elias E. Ashooh Inc.
Michael L’Ecuyer, president and chief executive officer of Bellwether Credit Union will represent the Greater Manchester Chamber of commerce.
Named by Manchester Development Corp. were: Jay Taylor, former director of the economic development office; Nick Soggu of SilverTech and Cathy Schmidt, president of Citizens Bank-New Hampshire.
Ken Edwards of the Manchester Housing & Redevelopment Authority staff will represent that agency.
Guinta said the group will begin meeting in early to mid-January after all applications for the position are received. The team will report their recommendations to the mayor upon completion of the process, who said he will make his choice based on its recommendations. – JEFF FEINGOLD
