Dryer named Presstek chairman

The board of directors of Presstek officially has a new chairman.

John W. Dreyer, “lead director” since March 2005, was chairman of the board of the Hudson printing equipment supplier on Tuesday, enabling him to work more “in partnership” with the company’s chief executive officer, Edward J. Marino, who had been functioning as a more of a chairman.

Dreyer is former CEO and board chairman of Pitman Company, a large graphic arts and image supply firm. He retired from Pitman in 2000 and has been a Presstek director since 2000. – BOB SANDERS
