Delayed Sturm, Ruger filing under review

Sturm, Ruger & Company Inc. has announced that its delayed annual report filing is under review and is awaiting completion of an audit of restated finandial statements by KPMG LLP, the firm’s former auditor.

The company did not timely file its annual 10-K report for 2005 – a delay prompted by the previously announced restatement of financial statements for 2004.

As a result of the restatement, previously reported 2004 net income is expected to increase by approximately 2 cents a share, the firm said. – NHBR STAFF
