An article that appeared in a March 16 NHBR Daily item contained erroneous information about the ownership of the Balsams Grand Resort Hotel. The item – which announced a March 29 event honoring Steve Barba, former managing partner of the Balsams – depicted the ownership incorrectly. The Balsams is still, as it has been since 1954, owned by Tillotson Corporation. Delaware North Parks and Resorts Inc. provide management services to Tillotson. Barba continues to be connected to the Balsams, through his position as one of five trustees of the Neil Tillotson Trust who have the responsibility to vote Tillotson Corporation’s stock and set its vision for the future.
