Centrix Bank official opened its permanent full-service branch in Portsmouth on Monday ) with some pretty good news: The bank announced last week that it reached a quarter of a billion dollars in assets.
That’s quite a growth spurt for a bank that was only $143 million at the beginning of 2004, and $204 million from the third quarter of that year.
The Bedford-based bank also announced third-quarter net income of $611,362, an increase of 51 percent from the last quarter. Net income per share was 31 cents, a share compared to 21 cents from the previous quarter. Net loans and deposits amounted to $183.2 million and $209.1 million, respectively, from a year ago.
In additional to Portsmouth, the bank operates full-service offices in Manchester, Bedford and Milford. – BOB SANDERS
