Centrix announces stock split

Centrix Bank stockholders will be getting three shares of stock for the price of two on Feb. 3, the bank announced last week.

Shareholders of record of the Manchester-based bank on December 30 will be eligible for the stock split.

“The board of directors believes this action will continue to support a corporate objective of increasing the liquidity of our common stock,” said CEO Joseph B. Reilly.

The stock shot up about a dollar to $20 a share after the announcement. Its low price was $15 last spring. – BOB SANDERS
