Centrix 2Q earnings rise 46%

Centrix Bank of Bedford says its second-quarter earnings increased 46 percent, or $700,876, up from $480,820 in the second quarter of 2005.

Net income for the quarter ending June 30 also increased dramatically, rising 44 percent, or 23 cents per diluted share, up from 16 cents per share in the same quarter a year ago.

Total assets were $314.5 million, growing 28 percent, or $246.3 million, in the second quarter of 2005. — CINDY KIBBE
