CDFA chief resigns

Paul Denton, executive director of the Community Development Finance Authority, has resigned from his post, the agency announced yesterday.

The brief press release said Denton – who has served in the post for some 18 months — decided to leave state government to return to the private sector.

During his tenure at the CDFA, Denton oversaw the integration of the Community Development Block Grant program, formerly housed at the Office of State Planning, into CDFA.

Daniel Gray, chairman of the CDFA board, said the panel “expresses its appreciation to Paul for his service to CDFA over the last 18 months. We extend our sincere best wishes to him in his future endeavors.”

He said the agency will immediately begin the process to recruit a new director. – JEFF FEINGOLD
