CBT declares 36-cent dividend

Community Bank & Trust has increased its stock dividend a penny to 36 cents a share, the Wolfeboro bank announced June 21.

The dividend will be paid on Aug. 15 to shareholders of on record on July 21. That brings total annual dividends – including a previously announced special dividend of 50 cents a share be paid out July 3 — to $1.91, thus far.

The bank credits surplus capital due to a strong first quarter return on equity (18.85 percent) and return on assets (1.83 percent) for the increased dividends. – BOB SANDERS
