Brady Sullivan buys downtown Nashua mill
310,000-square-foot property ‘a great opportunity’
A company affiliated with Manchester-based Brady Sullivan Properties has acquired a long-empty, 310,000-square-foot 19th century mill building on Franklin Street in Nashua for $100,000,
The building was sold to Lofts 34 LLC, according to the Nashua Telegraph. Seller was 34 Franklin Street LLC, based in New York City.
The mill, once owned by the former Nashua Corp., “is potentially a great opportunity for the city. It's a building that we have focused on for a long, long time," Nashua Economic Development Director Thomas Galligani told the Telegraph.
Nashua officials are hoping the sale to Brady Sullivan – which has a track record of converting historic mills into housing and office space – will continue the redevelopment of the Franklin Street mill district, which includes the Apartments at Cotton Mill, a 109-unit renovated mill on nearby Front Street that was fully rented within five months of opening in April 2014, according to the Telegraph.
Michael Tamposi Jr., of CBRE New England’s Manchester office, represented the seller.
