BAE completes flight test

BAE System’s F-22A Product Improvement Program has taken a step forward with the completion of the first phase of the developmental flight test of its digital electronic warfare system on the U.S. Air Force’s F-22A Raptor.

The four-month test of the digital EW system, conducted aboard Raptor 4009 at Edwards Air Force Base in California, culminates a three-year engineering and manufacturing development effort according to BAE officials.

“BAE Systems has met all of the digital EW program commitments and is delivering enabling technology to help the F-22A meet future war fighter mission needs,” said John Paquet, director of missions systems and software at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. – NHBR STAFF
