Arts awards nominees sought
The New Hampshire Business Committee for the Arts is seeking nominations for the 2006 Business in the Arts Awards, which honor businesses and individuals for their impact on New Hampshire’s arts and cultural community.
Any business that supported the arts in 2005 is eligible for an award. Support may have been in the form of sponsorships, volunteer involvement, donating in-kind goods and/or professional services, a tie-in that involved the arts in advertising, marketing, or public affairs campaigns, as well as other activities.
One winner will be selected from each of the microenterprise, small, medium and large business categories and will be presented with a commissioned artwork by a New Hampshire artist at a May 9 gala at the Center of New Hampshire Radisson Hotel in Manchester.
In addition to the business awards, a Leadership Award will be given to a businessperson in recognition of his or her vision, commitment and leadership in supporting the partnership between the Granite State’s business and arts communities.
Nomination forms are available online at nhbca.com, or by contacting the NHBCA at 224-8300. Nominations are due Feb. 10. — CINDY KIBBE
