Joe Grandmaison of New Hampshire, a former member of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, has been sworn in to another term on the panel.
Grandmaison, who servied on Ex-Im Bank’s board during the Clinton adminsitration from December 2001 to July 2005, was sworn in July 31 to a new term on the board.
Grandmaison was sworn in at the same time as James H. Lambright, who was apointed to be chaiman and president of the bank. Board member Linda Conlin also was sworn in as first vice president and vice chairman.
All three terms end on Jan. 20, 2009.
The three join former U.S. Senator Max Cleland on Ex-Im Bank’s board. Last week President Bush nominated Bijan R. Rafekian as the fifth member of the board, subject to confirmation by the Senate.
Before serving on the Ex-Im Bank, Grandmaison served from 1993 to 2001 as director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. Long active in New Hamsphrie Democratic politics, Grandmaison was his party’s nominee for governor in 1990. – JEFF FEINGOLD
