UNH, Dartmouth win NASA grants

NH Business Review Staff,

The University of New Hampshire and Dartmouth College have each received Geospace Science Program grants from NASA’s Science Mission Directorate.

Maximum grant value for UNH is $169,788, while Dartmouth’s is $399,512, according to NASA.

Both were awarded in recognition of proposals designed to support the program’s goals of understanding the space that surrounds and is influenced by various solar system bodies. Earth’s upper atmosphere, ionosphere and magnetosphere among the regions being covered.

The research will support NASA’s long-term plan to return astronauts to the moon and extend exploration to Mars and beyond through its Vision for Space Exploration, the agency said. – TRACIE STONE
