Three N.H. firms earn spots on Fortune lists

One New Hampshire company is listed on the Fortune 500 for 2006 and two others are listed among the Fortune 1000.

The magazine listed Hampton-based Fisher Scientific International at 386, up from 414 in 2005.

The Timberland Company of Stratham placed at No. 941 on the 2006 Fortune 1000 list, down from 923 in 2005. Timberland also was selected as one of the top 100 employers of 2006 to work for in the country by Fortune, placing 41st on the list.

PC Connection Inc. of Merrimack ranked 992nd on the 2006 Fortune 1000 list, slipping from No. 984 in 2005. This makes the sixth year in a row PC Connection has appeared on the list. – CINDY KIBBE
