Ex-CFO indicted for embezzling
James Menzies of Hooksett, former chief financial officer of Nashua-based Keyson Airways Corporation, has been indicted and arraigned on a charge he stole more than $347,000 from his former firm.
Menzies was indicted Dec. 1 by a Hillsborough County grand jury.
According to the indictment, Menzies worked for Keyson from late 1999 to mid-2005. He allegedly began embezzling funds from the firm shortly after starting his job there, and he continued to do so until the middle of 2005, according to the indictment.
Menzies allegedly stole the money by writing checks to himself and depositing the checks into his personal bank account. Over the course of his employment, he allegedly wrote more than 130 checks totaling approximately $347,000.
Menzies waived arraignment in the Superior Court and was released on $25,000 personal recognizance bail. — NHBR STAFF
