The NH Tech Alliance recently announced that David Gerry, CEO of Bugcrowd, is the recipient of the 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year Award, which will be presented at the Alliance’s Innovation Summit on October 7 at the Event Center Nashua.
For 37 years, this award has been presented to innovative individuals in New Hampshire’s tech industry based on criteria such as risk, innovation, growth, competition, profitability and employment.
Gerry, a cybersecurity thought leader, spent a decade in the application security market with cybersecurity firms such as WhiteHat Security, Veracode, Sumo Logic, and The Herjavec Group. His current firm, Bugcrowd, is a crowd-sourced security platform, with offices in Bedford, NH, San Francisco, Calif., and in Brighton, U.K. Over the years, he has earned accolades such as the CyberScoop 50 Awards, Cybersecurity Excellence Awards, and Cyber Defense Magazine’s Global InfoSec Awards.
He holds an MBA from Suffolk University and a B.A. from Merrimack College.
Upon notice of the recognition, Gerry said, “Being named Entrepreneur of the Year by the NH Tech Alliance is incredibly humbling. New Hampshire has always punched above its weight in innovation, and this recognition is a nod to the incredible Bugcrowd team and the global hacker community we represent. Together, we’re proving that cybersecurity isn’t just a global challenge, it’s an opportunity for New Hampshire to help lead the future, and I’m proud to continue expanding Bugcrowd’s footprint here in New Hampshire.”
“Dave’s leadership in growing Bugcrowd’s footprint here in NH has been extraordinary, not only in expanding the business, but in his commitment to building exceptional talent and expanding our workforce. Dave embodies what it means to drive innovation with purpose, and his dedication is helping to shape the future of tech in our state.” said Julie Demers, executive director of the NH Tech Alliance.
