Arthur Slattery has resigned as chair of the New Hampshire Real Estate Commission after more than 12 years in the post.
His resignation was effective May 1, and he has been succeeded as chair by commission member Nancy LeRoy.
“I just decided it needed new blood,” said Slattery, owner of Arthur Slattery LLC and co-owner of the Phoenix Realty Group in Bedford. “The challenges I would have taken on, put my head down and charged at like a bull a few years ago I just didn’t feel like I had it in me and I would not be able to do the commission justice.”
LeRoy becomes chairman of the commission after being affiliated with the agency for nearly six years.
“I am sorry to see Arthur go,” LeRoy told NHBR Daily from her real estate office at Residential Brokerage in Laconia. “He’s been a very, very valuable asset to the organization. He’s been with us through some bumpy times and has done just a great job.” – TRACIE STONE

After two choppy years for dealmakers, 2026 is starting with a very different tone, one that many business owners have been waiting for.
