Safety award nominees sought

The Safety & Health Council of Northern New England is accepting applications for the New Hampshire Workplace Safety Awards.

For over 15 years, the council has honored many companies whose management and employees have demonstrated a commitment to safety in the workplace. The purpose is to recognize safety efforts that are innovative, achieve excellence or have shown significant improvement.

The program honors companies and organizations in the Granite State that have exemplary safety programs in three categories: Excellence in Safety and Health; Significant Improvement in Safety and Health; and Innovation in Safety and Health.

New this year will be two additional sub-categories, companies with 100 or more employees and companies with less than 100 employees.

All firms are eligible for the awards. They also may apply for an award for an entire company or a single plant or division.

All award winners will be recognized at the awards luncheon at the Annual Safety and Health Conference on May 2 in Manchester.

Application deadline is April 2.
