Retired nurse wins school board seat

Ingrid Howard, a retired nurse, defeated Alexander LoVerme, owner of Elishas’ Restaurant in Milford, 265-121, for a three-year seat on the Wilton School Board.

LoVerme did get a seat on the budget committee for the cooperative school district, after he won a write-in battle with five votes.

In the election for a seat on the Wilton-Lyndeborough Cooperative School Board, former budget committee member Kimberly Jean Reynolds easily defeated newcomer Richard Griffin, 249-113.

On the town warrant, only two races were contested.

R. Neil Faiman was elected to a three-year seat on the planning board of J. Alexander MacMartin, 300-278, while Charles McGettigen returned to the water commission over Steve Elliot, 238-134.

Thirteen percent of the town’s 3,025 registered voters cast ballots.
