Mary Magnell, broker-owner of Hanover-based Magnell, McNamara & Associates, was named state Realtor of the Year September 25 at the New Hampshire Association of Realtors’ annual fall convention at the Balsams Grand Resort.
Magnell, a Canaan resident, received the statewide honor once before, named Realtor of the Year in 1995.
Magnell also was presented with the NHAR’s 2006 Good Neighbor Award for her ongoing support of David’s House, the home-away-from-home for families of children receiving treatment at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
“She has been such an inspiration to others,” said Dawn Stanhope, executive director of David’s House. “Whenever there is something we need, Mary is there.”
Magnell has worked as a volunteer coordinator at David’s House and currently serves as president of its board of directors.
“Mary epitomizes the term Realtor with her professional and personal belief in the Golden Rule,” said NHAR President Kathy Corey Fox, who was state Realtor of the Year in 2005. – JEFF FEINGOLD
