With its acquisition by Talbots only weeks away, J Jill Group Tuesday announced the May 1 kickoff of its “Nature of Compassion” T-shirt design contest.
The women’s apparel retailer is inviting would-be artists to submit their own nature-inspired T-shirt designs from through June 6. J. Jill officials will select one design to be featured as a limited edition, with all proceeds going toward the “J. Jill Compassion Fund. “ The fund supports community-based organizations that aid poor and homeless women in their quest to become self-sufficient.
Official rules for the t-shirt design contest can be found at www.jjill.com.
The winner’s design will be sold in all J. Jill stores, catalogues and online.
The $517 million sale of J. Jill Group Inc. to women’s specialty retailer, Talbots Inc. is expected to be completed in May. – TRACIE STONE
