Fourth ‘WomenBiz’ set for Sept. 25

“WomenBiz in 3-D,” the fourth annual Women’s Business Center Celebration and Showcase of Women Business Owners, will be presented Sept. 25 at The Event Center at C.R. Sparks in Bedford.

The showcase – at which more than 50 WBC members will display their business’ products and services — begins at 10:30 a.m. and will run until 2 p.m.

A noon luncheon will be highlighted by presentations by WBC members Diane Day of Hampshire Controls, Diana Taylor of Pug at the Beach and Diane Thibault of the National Association for the Self-Employed, each of whom will discuss the key moment that led them down their chosen career path. Gov. John Lynch, who attended last year’s luncheon, has again been invited to speak.

The Citizens Bank-supported event will once again feature the “Timeline Project,” on which attendees are invited to post their business landmarks along a timeline that also includes key dates in world and national history.

Now in its 11th year, the WBC has more than 400 members and serves women with businesses covering a wide range of products and services, from the arts to manufacturing. The center’s education, advocacy and peer support services are used by some 1,400 women business owners a year.

Pre-registration for both the luncheon and Showcase is required. For more information, visit at WomenBiz.org.
