Financial Exec Awards add another category
Awards recognize executives for fiscal leadership and asset management

A sixth category has been added to NHBR’s 2014 Financial Executive of the Year Awards.
The awards, presented by KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting, honor New Hampshire executives for their outstanding fiscal leadership, asset management and community commitment. And this year, an award will be presented in the Business Investor category, honoring individual and angel investors, institutional banking investors and those working through venture capital and private equity firms who support and drive business through strategic financial decision making.
The other award categories are: Large For-Profit Companies (revenues of $100 million and above); Medium For-Profit Companies ($20 million to $100 million); Small For-Profit companies (under $20 million); Small Nonprofit Organizations (under $10 million); and Large Nonprofit Organizations (over $10 million).
“Financial executives are not usually in the spotlight, yet their work is critical to ensuring the financial health of organizations they serve,” said Jeff Feingold, editor of NHBR. “The idea of the Financial Executive of the Year Awards is to bring recognition to these often overlooked executives.”
Nominations will be judged by an independent panel of respected New Hampshire financial and business professionals. Consideration will be given to the individual’s contributions to his or her company or organization’s overall growth, commitment to ethics, effective reporting and involvement in the community.
Nominations will be accepted through Friday, March 21. They can be submitted online at www.nhbr.com/Financial-Executive-of-the-Year-Awards.
Winners will be honored at the Financial Executive of the Year Awards breakfast, Tuesday, May 6, at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester.
Sponsors of the awards are: KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting; NBT Bank; RiverWoods; IMA, the association of accountants and financial professionals in business; and the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire.
