Atrium Medical Corporation, a Hudson-based manufacturer of medical devices, has been granted Food and Drug Administration approval of its bio-absorbable coated mesh, called C-QUR Mesh.

The company’s pre-clinical studies have shown that the C-QUR mesh lessens the chance of the body’s internal tissues adhering to each other during the healing process as well as a significant reduction in foreign body reactions and inflammation. — CINDY KIBBE
