AT&T has announced plans to install nine new cell sites in New Hampshire this year, adding to the two sites recently launched in Swanzey.
The company said the addition of nine new cell sites will benefit wireless AT&T customers throughout the western part of the state, including those in and around Dartmouth College in Hanover and along Routes 9 and 12 in Keene.
Users in Concord, near the junction of Interstates 89 and 93, Chesterfield along Route 9, Hudson, along Route 3A, Allenstown, along Route 3, and near New England College in Henniker also will benefit, according to AT&T.
Construction of the upcoming cell sites are part of an $18 million three-year project designed by AT&T to improve the quality of service delivered to its New Hampshire customers, the company said.
This year’s cell site installation will focus on expanding voice capacity, enhancing the Enhanced Data for GSM Evolution data network and adding bandwidth to support a growing customer base. – TRACIE STONE
