Stuart Arnett, who had planned to step down this summer as director of the state Division of Economic Development, has agreed to stay in his post until October.
Arnett resigned in late May to accept a position with GSFA Consulting, a Lebanon-based research and economic development firm. But he was asked by Department of Resources and Economic Development Commissioner George Bald to stay on to handle what Bald said was the critical nature of the upcoming statewide Telecommunications Summit. The summit is scheduled for Sept. 8 at the Fireside Inn in West Lebanon.
“Telecommunications is a top economic development priority in our state, and Stu Arnett has done an excellent job in leading the discussion about infrastructure, deployment and availability,” Bald said. “The upcoming Telecommunications Summit will cover vital areas such as public policy, homeland security and technological advances and Stu has graciously agreed to lend his expertise to ensure that this event will be of maximum benefit to the New Hampshire business community.” – JEFF FEINGOLD
