Amoskeag incubator sets Business Plan Competition

The Amoskeag Business Incubator has unveiled plans for a New Year’s Business Plan Competition, with the winner receiving a free one-year lease at the Manchester facility.

Sponsored by Southern New Hampshire University, New Hampshire Business Review, Citizens Bank, the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, Cronin & Bisson P.C. and Kline & Company, CPA P.C., the competition is designed to foster entrepreneurship with the goal of spurring economic development and job creation, said Julie Gustafson, .the incubator’s director.

To be eligible, a business must either be a proposed new business or have been in operation fewer than two years (current Amoskeag incubator tenants or applicants are not eligible to participate). The Grand Prize winner will receive a one-year lease at the incubator with Internet access, a one-year Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce membership, a free undergraduate/graduate course at SNHU, free technical assistance from Citizen Bank, free LLC entity formation/incorporation from Cronin & Bisson and free Quick Books Pro Software from Kline & Company.

The runner-up will receive: a three-month lease at the incubator with Internet access, a free undergraduate/graduate course at SNHU and free technical assistance from Citizens.

Deadline for submitting business plans is Feb. 28, 2007. Winners will be announced on March 31, 2007.
