Businesses seeking skilled employees have been invited to take part in a pair of job fairs for workers about to be displaced by Collins & Aikman.
The fairs are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 8 at the company’s Dover facility at 16 Industrial Park Drive and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 15 at its Farmington facility at 56 Davidson Drive)
According to the state Business Resource Center, the more than 240 workers who are about to be displaced by the Collins & Aikman closing include engineers, machinists, materials handlers, human resources professionals and administrative and clerical staffers.
A listing of the jobs held by the Collins & Aikman workers is available upon request.
