Dennis Mires, PA, The Architects of Manchester and Northcape Design Inc. of Sunapee each took home Best of Show honors in the recent Home Builders & Remodelers Association of New Hampshire’s annual Cornerstone Awards.
Dennis Mires earned its Best of Show award in the Commercial category, and Northcape was honored as Best of Show in the Residential category.
The Cornerstone Awards — formerly known as the SAM Awards — are produced by the HBRANH’s Sales & Marketing Council to recognize excellence in all areas of the building industry, including design, remodeling, new construction, landscaping and special features.
HBRANH members submitted 118 entries, which were judged by members of the Northern Vermont Home Builders & Remodelers Association. All told, there were 81 winners in 51 categories.
Also as part of the annual program, special recognition was given to HBRANH Members of the Year: Builder, Dick Benson, Brix & Stix Construction Corp., Concord; Remodeler, Ed Stewart, Boardwalk North, Salem; and Associate, Dianne Beaton, Secondwind Water Systems, Manchester.

Interest rate hike? What interest rate hike? The move by the Federal Reserve to hike a key interest rate by a quarter of a percentage point (0.25%) has provoked a big yawn in the New Hampshire economy.
