WILTON- The Second Congregational Church will host a turkey dinner on board the Wilton Scenic Railroad on Sunday, Oct. 17, at 4:30 p.m.
The dinner will include all the fixings, including mashed potatoes, squash, stuffing, cranberry sauce, homemade rolls, and beverages.
Tickets are $22 for adults and $14 for children age 8 and under.
See the fall scenery at twilight, spend an evening out with family or friends, and maybe spot some wildlife as you enjoy your meal in vintage 1950s air-conditioned Budd cars.

The Wilton Scenic Railroad offers scenic train rides along the shore of Zephyr Lake and a nice view of Mt. Monadnock while traveling down tracks established more than 100 years ago by the Peterborough Railroad.

Another piece of Chinese owned property in Nashua has come to the public’s attention — the former Daniel Webster College property, encompassing some 52 acres. Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess encouraged the Board of Aldermen on Sept. 9 to pass a resolution giving him the authority to seek state and/or federal funds to purchase the property, currently owned by Xinhua Education Consulting Services Corp.
James “Jim” Loomis, co-founder of Portsmouth-based Bottomline Technologies, passed away on Sept. 6 in his hometown of Dover after a period of declining health. He was 75.
