World trade forum set for Oct. 6

The New Hampshire International Trade Association has set Oct. 6 as the date of “Growing Globally,” its 18th annual World Trade Forum and Governor’s Conference on Trade.

The forum, to be held at the Center of New Hampshire in Manchester, is designed to provide business tools and potential international business leads. Also featured will be representatives from many foreign consulates and foreign trade groups, who will be displaying information on conducting business in their markets. Invited countries and trade group representatives will gather from Belgium, Canada, The Czech Republic, France, Hong Kong, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, The Netherlands, The Philippines, Poland, Quebec, Slovak Republic, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.

A highlight of the event is the Governor’s Award Luncheon, celebrating the Small Business Administration’s 2004 New Hampshire Exporter of the Year and the NHITA Excellence in Trade Awards 2004 for an individual and a business.

Keynote speaker at the event will be retired Admiral Archie Clemins of Caribou Technologies Inc. and co-owner of TableRock International LLC, international consulting firms. The firms specialize in the transition of commercial technology to government sectors in both the United States and Asia.

The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Registration fee is $75 for NHITA members and $120 for non-members.
