‘Winning Strategies’ forum for managers set

Registration is now open for a one-day conference on leadership and management strategies, to be held Friday, Nov. 4, at the University of New Hampshire in Durham.Presented by UNH Professional Development and Training, the conference is designed for managers, supervisors, and project and team leaders looking for new ways to motivate workers and improve productivity.Entitled “Winning Strategies for Modern Leadership,” it will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wentworth-by-the-Sea Hotel in New Castle and will include sessions on topics such as collaboration, flexible leadership, enhanced employee engagement, and the art of persuasion.”Managers in the 21st century must be leaders, coaches, financial planners, idea people, and build on potential strategic alliances with other partners inside and external to the organization to maximize opportunities and potential revenue,” said UNH’s Linda Conti. “This conference is designed to provide practical knowledge that will help strengthen skills of leaders and managers to cope with today’s challenges.”The conference costs $295 before Oct. 21 and $325 after that.
