Wal-Mart collecting goods for benefit
AMHERST
Wal-Mart will be collecting customers’ used and new books, magazines, and VHS tapes and music/educational CD-ROMs throughout July as part of an upcoming benefit for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth.
Donations from the community will be sold at an outdoor sale in August and all proceeds will benefit the hospital.
Collection boxes will be set up inside the store’s front doors.
All sorts of books are welcomed. Wal-Mart asks that magazines be in decent condition and be limited to those with a broad audience appeal, such as Reader’s Digest or National Geographic.
