Snappii offers free Covid-19 disinfection checklist app … and more

Micky Minhas, center, who recently joined the newly formed patent licensing platform Marconi as senior vice president, has been named executive director of the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce Center School of Law’s Pierce Center for Intellectual Property. Before his current role with Marconi, Minhas – a graduate of UNH Law – was vice president and chief patent counsel for Microsoft. Minhas has been teaching at the law school for the last two years as the Franklin Pierce Distinguished Professor of IP Practice.

Trade publication CRN has named Senet Inc. of Portsmouth one of the “10 coolest IoT Connectivity Companies.” Senet, a provider of cloud-based software and services platforms that enable global connectivity and on-demand network build-outs for the IoT, was named to CRN’s IoT Top 50 list last year. The list recognizes vendors on that are pushing the limits of what is possible through innovative IoT offerings.

The Partnership for Successful Living, a Nashua-based social service organization, and a volunteer team from Fidelity Investments recently joined forces to develop a new IT infrastructure roadmap for the nonprofit agency. To date, the plan has been used to revise budgets, hire two new staff members and purchase additional licenses to support more end users. The agency has also increased the number of VPN users and now has better utilization of remote employees.

A team of eight volunteers from Fidelity’s Enterprise Infrastructure department assessed the partnership’s IT infrastructure and created a strategic IT roadmap. The Fidelity employees were recruited from LEAP, the corporation’s technical talent development program for recent college graduates pursuing careers in technology.

SilverCloud Inc., a Portsmouth-based provider of a support solution for the financial services industry, has announced that Decatur, Ill.-based Staley Credit Union has launched the company’s automated Consumer Support platform. The new platform provides Staley’s members with a more intuitive self-service support experience.

Seabrook-based Snappii, a mobile apps development and mobile forms conversion platform, has released its Disinfection Checklist for Covid-19 Prevention app, showing how individuals and households can prevent the spread of Covid-19. The app, which contains 38 checks to ensure that all surfaces have been disinfected, collects photos, signatures and dates and submits the inspection report into a PDF file that can be shared with clients via email or other means available on a device.

The app also contains a list of products that have been pre-approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for use against emerging enveloped viral pathogens and can be used during the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The app is available for download at no cost on the Apple AppStore.

With the physical sports world in a standstill, the New Hampshire Lottery recently added eNASCAR to its mobile and online sports betting portfolio, the commission says. eNASCAR features a virtual race experience, in which online drivers compete in simulated real cars, tracks and races, with New Hampshire viewers able to water on the contests.

The next eNASCAR race, Round 6 of the Coca-Cola iRacing Series, takes place at 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at the simulated Dover International Speedway through the iRacing virtual simulation platform.
