Shaheen to speak at Feb. 18 BIA luncheon

Senator to discuss issues and their impact on the N.H. business community

U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen will be the speaker at a Feb. 18 Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire luncheon at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester.

The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with the formal program commencing at noon.

Shaheen will discuss issues facing New Hampshire and the nation and their impact on the business community, including energy, the economy and job growth, fiscal responsibility, health care and education. She is expected to take questions from the audience.

The luncheon is sponsored by BAE Systems, Bank of America, C&S Wholesale Grocers Inc., Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health, Eastern Bank, FairPoint Communications Inc., Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, McLane Graf Raulerson and Middleton PA, NextEra Energy and Unitil.

Cost to attend is $35 for BIA and Capitol Connect members and $49 for others.
