School subdivision proposal presented

WILTON – Pine Hill Waldorf School has presented a proposal to the Planning Board to subdivide a seven-acre parcel from the western side of their property. The site is to be leased to the Center for Anthroposophy, which would construct an administration building and a facility for teacher training. A dormitory could be added later.

The Planning Board accepted the application and continued the hearing to Dec. 15, because several technicalities still need to be met. The board will visit the site within the next few weeks.

Planning Board member Mark Whitehill said the school will need a special exception for the facility, as provided under the town ordinances, and will need to meet with the Zoning Board of Adjustment after the Planning Board accepts the subdivision plan, which is expected to happen in December.

Pine Hill officials will return to the Planning Board on Jan. 19 to present the site plan for the new facility.
