Rivier introduces corporate partnership program, accelerated Business Degrees

Through its corporate partners program, initiated by the Division of Academic Outreach, Rivier College is now offering training, seminars, and workshops in many areas including management, marketing, computer information systems, human resource management, communications, and organizational behavior.

“Rivier is building on its quality degree and certificate programs in business, computer science, education, nursing, and other areas and bringing that expertise directly to area businesses,” says Dr. Joseph Allard, vice president for academic outreach. Programs are customized to fit the needs of individual companies and are delivered in several formats: on-campus, on-site, on-line, or any combination of these options. Accelerated business programs emphasize ethics

Rivier also recently introduced an accelerated executive M.B.A. in organizational leadership and an accelerated undergraduate business degree completion program. Both programs are designed for working professionals looking to cut their time to degree completion. The accelerated executive M.B.A. can be completed in 20 months, with classes meeting once a week in six or eight week sessions on campus in Nashua, NH.

Students applying to the accelerated business degree completion program can transfer a minimum of 60 and a maximum of 78 college credits from any discipline and complete a bachelor of business administration degree in as little as 18 months, attending class just one night a week.

Both business degrees emphasize “ethics across the curriculum,” according to Allard, who oversees the programs. He says that while Rivier College has always addressed ethics in its business curriculum, “With our new accelerated programs, we’ve expanded upon that and made ethics an important component of each course.” The program differs from others offered at area colleges and universities in that ethics is not treated in a separate class or as an elective. “It’s embedded into each and every business class, allowing us to educate ethical business leaders,” says Allard.
